I awoke what felt like an hour or so later. But it was 6:30 in the evening. I’d just slept for five hours. I felt a million times better than before. Or maybe a hundred. Anyway, I was feeling at least moderately normal. I got up and wandered out of the guest room. Kristina’s bedroom door was open, so I poked my head in. She was sitting on her bed reading a book.
“Hey,” I said. “That was a killer nap. What have you been up to all afternoon?”
