Does Bill Gates Want to Depopulate the Planet?

I never paid too much attention to Bill Gates. I knew he was the founder of Microsoft and was the richest guy on the planet for a long time, and he liked to talk about a lot of things from technology to science to vaccines. I’ve certainly seen him in interviews and perhaps a Ted talk or two over the years. But I’d never paid close attention to what he was saying and quite frankly, didn’t have much of an opinion about him. If you’d asked me a week or so ago what I thought about Bill Gates, I most likely would have simply shrugged. I didn’t know enough about what he was actually doing to be able to say if I had a positive or negative opinion of him.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit over the past few months, Bill Gates has been unavoidable online. My Facebook feed is filled with a never-ending deluge of people painting him as pretty much the reincarnation of the devil. The accusations range from him directly causing the pandemic to being part of a global cult to control the world to having an agenda of depopulating the planet of billions of people.

Considering that I’m stuck indoors for most of the day along with everyone else, I eventually took the bait and clicked on a video or article of some sort to see what it had to say. This led me to watch some more videos and read some more articles. I am by no means a Bill Gates expert at this point. But I’m at least moderately more aware of what he’s about than I was a week ago.
