Yesterday I posted the following video on my Youtube channel about where Americans can travel right now, even as the coronavirus pandemic is escalating:

In the video I don’t reveal where I am, because I was planning to post another video about the journey getting there and I wanted to keep the location a surprise. But I’ve decided to state where the video was recorded and where I am now in the course of responding to some of the criticism being directed at me for traveling at all right now.

The above video was recorded on July 4th, 2020 in Belgrade, Serbia. Today, July 5th, I explored more of the city and filmed another video. The city was a little quiet, but it was a Sunday. Other than that things seemed perfectly normal. Plenty of people were out walking around, soaking up the sunshine, eating out at restaurants, etc. Serbia is to a great extent back to normal.

After posting the video, viewers wrote comments stating that there was now a state of emergency in Belgrade, declared on July 3rd, due to a rising number of coronavirus cases. I check the world news on a daily…
