Do Anthony Fauci’s Emails Reveal the Big Conspiracy?
A friend recently posted on Facebook that the newly disclosed emails of Dr. Anthony Fauci finally confirm that the COVID-19 coronavirus was created in a lab and deliberately transferred to humans as a diabolical plot by the world’s elite to depopulate the planet. This was of course stated in dramatic fashion with lots of exclamation points, along with a photo of her partying with friends in Tulum, Mexico.
The implication was clear: It’s all a conspiracy to control you, don’t buy into it, it’s a fabricated hoax, just live your life and have fun as if it doesn’t exist.
Now, just to clarify my own position on the pandemic, I do not think it’s the end of the world. The exact fatality rate for COVID-19 is unknown (because of unconfirmed cases that would shift the numbers). But it seems to be somewhere in the range of 1% or so, causing approximately four million deaths worldwide so far, which is about .05% of the global population. By comparison, the Plague of the 14th century killed around 25% of the global population. That’s 500 times worse than the COVID-19 pandemic.
I was in Tulum myself a few months ago. I’ve been traveling all over the world for the past year throughout the pandemic. I’m not of the belief that we should all hide away in our homes until it’s all over, avoid all unnecessary human contact…
