Vaccines: Conspiracy or Necessity?

Note: Following is an article I wrote in 2017, but didn’t publish at the time.

Allow me to ask a question: Would it be reasonable to say that because there are unhealthy, overweight people, because there are eating disorders, because there is junk food, because there are people making tons of money off food, because there are companies like Monsanto that are manipulating the world food markets…that therefore we should ban the eating of food? That would solve a lot of problems associated with food, right?

How about money? Because there is greed, because there is economic manipulation around the world, because there are wars fought over money, we should ban money, and that would solve a lot of humanity’s problems.

How about sex? Because there is sex addiction, because there is rape, because there is child prostitution, because there are people making gobs of money in the sex industry, we should ban sex altogether and that would solve all of these problems.

These are essentially the same arguments that are often used by people who argue against the use of vaccines. Because there may be manipulation of vaccines, because people are making money off of them, because there could be unnecessary or even harmful substances included in some vaccines, because there may be some adverse side effects as a result of vaccines, we should stop the use of vaccines altogether. Cold turkey, just get rid of them once and for all and the world would be better off.
